within the State be licensed by the Nevada Private
Investigators Licensing Board (NRS 648.060). This
protects you by ensuring that security consultants
are reputable,
experienced, adequately insured, and properly regulated.
Despite
the law, many unlicensed security consultants are operating in Nevada. Some
do it out of ignorance. How competent
can they be if they aren't even aware of the laws that regulate their
profession
and protect you? Others know their
unlicensed consulting activity is a crime, but do it anyway. If they can't be trusted to obey the law, can
they be trusted with your security?
